Cable Placement

Our principals pioneered optical fibre cable placement techniques using pneumatic cable placement. We have further developed and perfected this technique for Australian conditions and are recognised as leaders in this field.

Building Network Services -Dedicated Networks (Building Entries and Cabling)

ABC Civil Group has been involved with the placement and racking of cables for United Communications in Melbourne and Sydney. This work has involved erecting of tray way to the clients specification, running and housing of cable erecting and fit out of equipment cabinets including termination and testing of copper cables, splice and test fibre terminals.

We design and construct or fully fit out building communications rooms providing a complete turnkey solution for our customers. We have skills associated with building services, AC and DC power.

Our teams are flexible and have the ability to haul small size copper cables, HDPE subducts or coaxial cables, using the conventional winching operation.

Our teams have been involved with the extensive hauling of CATV underground coaxial cables in Melbourne for Optus Vision.

Optical Fibre Cable Splicing and Testing

Our technical staff ia available to work with the client to specify and achieve their actual requirements. We have at our disposal a team of fully trained fibre splicing and testing technicians.  These technicians are fully mobile and equipped to meet the client’s needs. We not only splice the cable but fully commission test the cable as part of the integrated full service, thereby eliminating the need for a second party to be called to commission the cable.

Our splicing technicians have been involved in the following projects:

• The entire fibre splicing and testing of Optus Visions fibre network in Melbourne
• Splicing and testing Adelaide to Perth fibre cable for Optus Sydney / Brisbane 2 stage 1 fibre cable for Optus Auckland New Zealand CATV Fibre for Ericsson New Zealand, Semerang Indonesia for Thiess Contractors
